Default Bert Ball Spline care and feeding

Running a Bert ball spline for the first time this year any good WRITTEN directions on care and fluids?

Nothing written, but be sure to use the fluid Bert says to use. Also, change it about every 4 weekends. NEVER load your car with the trans, always use a winch and watch how much you slip it to get moving. Keep the ball spline CLEAN and well greased, I always hit ours with grease every week when its on the scales, and inspect the ball spline seal at the same time. We have 3 years on this rebuild and the buttons are still well above the wear out and will run it all this season as well.

We have used Ball Splines for many years now. We have ALWAYS used type F automatic transmission fluid in them. We have never used grease on the splines, as it will hold on to dirt and dust. We do occasionally spray it with a silicone lube. We change the fluid every 3 features. We have NEVER had a failure other than a busted tail housing due to a wreck. Like the previous member said. Do not use it to load the car. Try to avoid going up a large bank or hill from a dead stop.

Correct, you dont place grease on the outside of the splines, there is a zerk right above on the tail shaft is what I was getting at.
