    Default driveshaft

    how much should the yoke stick out of the housing on a bert its in a dirt modified. the one thats in it keeps taking out the seal when the gets roll steer.

    One inch with the rear hanging on the chains. Then check for two inches in the trans at ride height. Not enough; get a longer yoke. Be careful, the older Berts that are not modified will only take a 6 inch yoke. If so, have the output shaft turned. Also check the rearend yoke thrust play in the bearings. Non spacer pinions can be jammed and get too loose.
