Ponderosa Speedway Announces Division and Track Sponsors for the 2012 Race Season

Junction City, KY- April 1, 2012- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Larry Yantz and co-promoters Chad and Sarah Yantz would like to announce the track’s division sponsors for the 2012 racing season, along with other track sponsors and supporters for the upcoming race campaign for 2012.

Good Neighbor Pharmacy of Danville, KY will be the title sponsor for the Late Model division, being known as the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Late Models. Clayton Homes of Stanford, KY will be the title sponsor for the Modified division, with it being known as the Clayton Homes Modifieds. Ken Towery’s Auto and Tire Center of Danville, KY will be the primary sponsor for the Sportsman division, being called the Ken Towery’s Auto and Tire Center Sportsman. Bob Allen Motor Mall, with location in Danville, KY, Liberty, KY, and Frankfort, KY, will be the sponsor for the Street Stock class, going under the name of the Bob Allen Motor Mall Street Stocks.

Track sponsors and supporters from the Garrard County area include Hines Body Shop of Lancaster, Irvin Group Realty of Lancaster, JumpStart Communications of Lancaster, and Wicked Racing Supply and Fabrication of Bryantsville. Track sponsors and supporters from the Mercer County area include Bennett’s Car Care and Performance, Wayne Bowen Racing Supply in Burgin, and Central Painting in Harrodsburg.

Other track sponsors and supporters include Country 100.9 MIKE FM of Lebanon, Colston Paving of Frankfort, Smith Automotive Machine Shop of Frankfort, Trailer Parts and Service of Lawrenceburg, Graphic Impressions of Hazard, Neat’s Service Center of Dunnville, and Pyles Concrete, with locations in Columbia, Russell Springs, Liberty, Edmonton, and Somerset.

Ponderosa Speedway will feature four divisions of weekly racing competition during the 2012 racing campaign, with those being Good Neighbor Pharmacy Late Models, Clayton Homes Modifieds, Ken Towery’s Auto and Tire Center Sportsman, and Bob Allen Motor Mall Street Stocks. Regular show events will see the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Late Models race for $1,200 to win and $100 to start, Clayton Homes Modifieds for $600 to win and $75 to start, Ken Towery’s Auto and Tire Center Sportsman for $300 to win and $50 to start, and Bob Allen Motor Mall Street Stocks $200 to win and $40 to start.

The official green flag will drop on the 2012 race season at Ponderosa Speedway on Friday April 6 with a full program of racing action that will feature Good Neighbor Pharmacy Late Models, Clayton Homes Modifieds, Ken Towery’s Auto and Tire Center Sportsman, and Bob Allen Motor Mall Street Stocks all in competition.

Ponderosa Speedway is located at 365 Phillips Lane on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, outside of Junction City, KY, just minutes from Danville, KY. Larry Yantz is the track promoter and will present dirt track sports entertainment on Friday and selected Saturday evenings from April through October of the 2012 race season.
