    Default MSD Module

I put a MSD module in my HEI distributor and now the car hiccups when idling. It has not done it at speed (yet) but its bothersome, any fixes?

Never used the MSD module. I have used many modules and coils etc. from DUI with no problems. Try calling MSD for help. I would imagine it is a simple fix.

Thanks for the heads up. I read through some of their troubleshooting forum on their site, what I'm thinking is the problem is it just needs cleaned out really well and make sure everything is fastened tight. Something may not have a 100% connection and it is missing. I just didn't know if this was something someone else experienced.

The newer modules have an extra ground wire that must be grounded...

I would try an extra grounding wire to distributor, sounds like a grounding issue. We use the dui stuff ourselves.

tried the extra ground, still didn't solve the issue. Seems to be getting worse. What is the part number for the DUI distributor you fellas are running?

    Thanks for the info

I'm running GM. Thanks for the info again. And what do you mean by pick up? I'm stupid when it comes to electronics and the distributor, and they hate me as well. I read the directions word for word the first time I installed it. I did have both grounds attached from the get go as well. I never have time to call their help line because I'm in class all day, and my e-mails haven't been answered.
