Rear shock mount question
Just looking for any opinions. I have a metric chassis stock car and looking for the best way to mount the rear shocks as far as which is better to let them move the most. I run 9" steel AFCO custom valved shocks. I have the stock type lower mounts or plates welded to the bottom of the rearend tube that are 2 inches closer to the center of the housing and have multiple mounting holes. Right now I have a upper mount that is a 1/2" bolt run perpendicular to the housing so the shock can swing side to side but the shock body hits the rear end tube. I just put in 5" spring buckets in the rear so I can add whatever I need to make a better upper shock mount. I run spherical bushing in lower control arms and swedge tubes for uppers. My rules are pretty open on what I can do as long as the run up and down. Any advise would be greatly appreciated and pictures would be a huge help.
