Riggs Motorsports Drivers Turn in Strong Performances; Welcomes CCI Systems on Board!

(HARRISBURG, ILLINOIS) The Riggs Motorsports team headed off in different directions over the April 6-7 weekend, as the three drivers opted to compete at three different venues in the states of Illinois and Kentucky. On Friday night, Kevin Cole found himself in the pit area at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois for a weekly UMP event. Kevin ran second in his heat race, finished third in the dash, and later wound up a strong second in the A-Main behind winner Dewayne Kiefer after leading a majority of the race. Jason Riggs was also in action on Friday evening, as he invaded the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky for another weekly show. Jason finished second in heat race action, advanced up to second in the A-Main, and eventually guided his #81jr to a solid fourth place showing behind only winner Tanner English, Tyler Red(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word), and Tim Brown.

On Saturday evening, Scott James was the lone Riggs Motorsports driver in competition, as the "Silver Shark" traveled to the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky for an unsanctioned, $3,000 to win program. Scott, who won last weekend at the 1/2-mile, Cincinnati-area speedplant, broke a crank trigger in his heat race and finished eighth in the prelim. Following an impressive B-Main triumph, Scott rolled off twenty-first on the grid in the 35-lap feature event. The Bright, Indiana native was on the gas in the A-Main, as he blew past fourteen competitors to salvage a seventh place performance. Full results from all three ovals can be located online at www.tricityspeedway.net, www.paducahracing.com, and www.florencespeedway.com.

Up next for the #81 teams will be three shows in the states of Illinois, Tennessee, and Ohio over the April 13-14 weekend. On Friday night, both Jason Riggs and Kevin Cole are scheduled to be in action in a $3,000 to win MARS DIRTcar Series showdown at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. While Kevin will take Saturday off from racing action, Jason will head to the Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee for a regular weekly show. Scott James is slated to travel to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Saturday for a $2,000 to win American Late Model Series (ALMS) event. Up-to-date schedule information on all three drivers can be viewed online at www.riggsmotorsports.com.
