Losing rear end fluid

My rear end fluid keeps blowing out my deck mounted filter going to the rear end. It blowed out right much my first race. I was told maybe i had too much fluid and it was blowing out what it didnt want so i didnt add any and left it the same and went out my second race it it blowed out a bunch again. Its a ford 9". And i started with 4 qts. The first race. Any clues what to look for. It has a breather line going up to the deck to a resevoir with a filter on it. Thanks for any help.

which side of the housing is the breather mounted on? If its on the passenger side of the housing its going to be tough to keep the fluid in there. If you dont run inner axle seals the drivers side axle tube is a great place for a breather to be mounted.

Oh yeah, 4 qts is what you should be running. Eric
