Street Stocks Adjusted, Front Wheel Drives Added at Ponderosa Speedway Beginning Friday May 11

Junction City, KY- May 8, 2012- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Larry Yantz and co-promoters Chad and Sarah Yantz would like to make an announcement concerning the Street Stock division and the addition of a Front Wheel Drive division.

The Street Stock and Front Wheel Drive divisions will compete weekly at Ponderosa Speedway, however, there must be four cars in each division for it to race on a particular evening. If there are at least four entries in each division, each class will pay $100 to win. If there are eight or more entries in each division, then the division’s feature event will pay $200 to win. Both divisions will pill draw for heat race starting positions. Also, to avoid any confusion, the Street Stock and Front Wheel Drive divisions will not be combined into one class for any reason.

Rules for the Front Wheel Drive division will posted under the rules section on the track website at www.ponderosaspeedway.net. Payouts will be as follows for both the Street Stock and Front Wheel Drives divisions beginning this Friday evening May 11:

*Street Stock and/or Front Wheel Drives (four to seven entries): 1st- $100, 2nd- $60, 3rd- $50, 4th- $45, 5th- $40, 6th- $35, 7th- $30 to start

*Street Stock and/or Front Wheel Drives (eight or more entries): 1st- $200, 2nd- $125, 3rd- $100, 4th- $90, 5th- $80, 6th- $70, 7th- $60, 8th- $55, 9th- $50, 10th- $45, 11th on back- $40 to start.

Ponderosa Speedway is located at 365 Phillips Lane on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, outside of Junction City, KY, just minutes from Danville, KY. Larry Yantz is the track promoter and will present dirt track sports entertainment on Friday and selected Saturday evenings from April through October of the 2012 race season.
