Daniel Baggerly Charges to Ninth at The Gap; Now Third in Ultimate Points!

(RURAL RETREAT, VIRGINIA) Following a month-long hiatus, the B&B Motorsports team and driver Daniel Baggerly returned to Dirt Late Model competition over the May 4-5 weekend in the states of North Carolina and Tennessee. On Friday night, the 311 Motor Speedway in Madison, North Carolina played host to a $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series showdown. Daniel ran eighth in his loaded heat race, but later grabbed the third transfer spot through the consolation race. After rolling off twenty-first on the grid in the 50-lapper, Daniel pulled off of the racing surface after 25 circuits due to high oil temperature and retired in the twenty-first position.

The dirt-slinging action quickly shifted to the ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee on Saturday evening, as the Ultimate Super Late Model Series presided over a $5,000 to win program. Daniel timed in nineteenth fastest during the qualifying session, which locked him into the inside of the tenth row in the 50-lap feature event. "Bagz" then had a sterling run in the A-Main at "The Gap," as he worked his way past ten competitors to score a hard-fought ninth place performance. Full results from the double-dip can be viewed by pointing your web browser to www.dirtondirt.com.

The #16 team will follow the Ultimate Super Late Model Series trail to the historic Toccoa Speedway in Toccoa, Georgia on Saturday, May 12. The one-day Ultimate tilt at Toccoa will pay $4,000 to the winner. Daniel comes into Toccoa third in the latest version of the Ultimate Super Late Model Series point standings.
