Rick Eckert Third in Raye Vest Memorial Qualifier; Readies for VMS

(YORK, PENNSYLVANIA) "Scrub" Rick Eckert took advantage of a weekend off of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series grind to invade the Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Virginia on Saturday night, May 12 for a qualifier for the 'Raye Vest Memorial,' which honors Eckert's former car owner. Rick qualified well and later won his heat race to earn the inside second row starting spot for the 35-lap main event. During the course of the $2,400 to win race, the York, Pennsylvania native hung around the front of the field and eventually landed a third place performance behind only winner Jamie Lathroum and runner-up Ronnie DeHaven, Jr. Complete results from the 'Raye Vest Memorial Qualifier' can be found online at www.winchestervaspeedway.com.

Next up for the #24 team will be a trip back to Virginia on Saturday evening, May 19. The Ultimate Super Late Model Series will sanction the ‘Mid-Atlantic Spring Championship’ at the pristine Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, Virginia over the weekend. The 50-lap feature event will pay the victor $10,000. Additional information on the one-day program at VMS can be accessed by clicking on www.ultimatesupers.com.
