Burnside, KY-May 20, 2012- After taking off this past weekend, Lake Cumberland Speedway track promoter Brandon Hardgrove is set to smash the loud pedal and resume racing action with a special Sunday event on Sunday May 27 with the rescheduled Lake Cumberland Classic Make-Up event that was rained out on May 12, featuring a $3,000 to win event for Super Late Models and $700 to win for Modifieds, along with a full program for Super Dirt Stocks, Sportsman, and Front Wheel Drives.

The Sunday May 27 event will be the final event of a three-race weekend featuring events at Ponderosa Speedway on May 25 and Richmond Raceway on May 26 and if the same driver can win all three events, they will receive a $600 bonus from all three tracks. Also of note, patrons that had purchased tickets and pit passes on May 12 can only use these at this May 27 event and patrons must have their tickets and/or pit passes from that event to trade for new ones or individuals will have to repay.

The Sunday May 27 racing event will feature the Super Late Model division racing for $3,000 to win in a 40 lap feature event. The Modified division will also be in competition in a 20 lap, $700 to win feature race contest. The Super Late Model and Modified divisions will time trial, while the Super Dirt Stocks, Sportsman, and Front Wheel Drives will pill draw for heat race starting positions. All divisions will also have qualifying heats to set their respective divisions feature event line-up. RACEceivers are mandatory for those racers in the Super Late Model and Modified divisions.

Activities for the Sunday May 27 event will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m., with a mandatory drivers meeting at 6:30 p.m. Practice is set to begin at 7:00 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing. For the Sunday May 27 event, general admission ticket prices will be $20 for adults, children ages 6 to 10 will be $8, while children ages 5 and under will be admitted free with a paid adult. A pit pass will cost $35. Again, if you were at LCS on May 12 and you want to visit on Sunday May 27, individuals must have their tickets or pit passes from May 12 to exchange for new ones or they will have to pay again.
