Default Rollover vent on teardrop fuel cell?

I tried to vent te roller vent on my fuel cell and when I go around the turns it shoots fuel out the hose. Well I plugged the hose and when I came in I tried to get the cap off and it was almost vapor locked. Any idea if how to vent it without loosing 50% of my fuel?

On my tanks, I have the tip-over valve in the cell, from that I run a hose off of that to the left side of the tank. You can either put a small K&N style breather on the end of the hose, some people use a fuel filter (the clear plastic cheap and small ones for small cars). Just something to keep dust n crap from being pulled in.

Shouldn't have any fuel sloshing out that way...

I bought a used car once and the person that I bought it from had the vent filter on the returnb port and the vent port was pluged with a cap. I would check and see if the fuel cell had a ball check vavle in it. They should not leak fuel.

    hope this helps.
