Jumping off? You mean coming unseated from the hat? The spring should be preloaded 4 turns when the car is sitting at ride height. And the spring should be zip tied to the hat.
I use a hose clamp above the coilover nut to keep it from backing off. I don't like those little set screws. Always full of mud, they can strip out. Or someone helping me doesn't know its there and turns the nut buggering up the threads.

Most handling problems can be solved by adjusting the screw-ball. It can be difficult to fine tune at times. Explaining yourself loudly and striking it on top of the helmet with a dead blow hammer usually works well.
