    Default Lucky 50

Costello's Body and Paint of Winchester has sweetened the pot with an extra $50. Just before the feature, a number from 2 to 30 will be drawn from the jar, know only to the track manager. The Ucar that finishes in that position gets an extra $50. The reason there's no number one is that guy already won the race! It's just something extra for the Ucars, and it's only at the B & B UCAR Challenge!

    Default Sheriff's Badge

The first of many surprises in race #4 in the B & B UCAR Challenge series. When you think of the western Sheriff, what image comes to your mind? A badge, of course, and we've got a good one. Not a toy, but the "real deal", a real western sheriff's badge from Arizona. Since the winner of the Ucar feature on the 21st will be dubbed "The New Sheriff in Town" he or she will receive the badge in victory lane. How cool is that?

    Default Wanted

Something's got to be done to straighten out the varmits and rustlers that have taken over Winchester Speedway (that's Winchester as in Winchester, Virginia). We got a bounty on their heads. Find out on July 21st, who the new sheriff will be who can tame these outlaws!

This past Friday we sold a lot of T-Shirts and collected money to be distributed to winners of the Ucar heat races. Right now we are awarding $25 dollars to each heat winner and we might get 4 heat races! That's this coming Saturday, July 21st at Winchester, VA.

    Default New Co-Sponsor

We would like to thank Lowery Custom Carpentry of Riva, MD for coming on board to make this race even better.

Purse has been increased all the way to tenth place! Combine that with Heat Race Money, Costello's Lucky Fifty Award & and the real Sheriff's Badge to the winner, you can see this is no ordinary Ucar event. Be there!

    Default Pollard wins race #4

The theme of the fourth race in the B & B UCAR Challenge series was a "Western Shoot Out" and it was meant just for fun, but Saturday's Ucar event turned into a real barn burner. The threatening skies didn't keep the Mighty Ucars away from the Winchester Speedway. The good turn out was divided into 3 heats. First heat went to Josh "Big Country" Wilkins in the 11X. In the second heat, Joey "the Mopar Kid" Strosnider came out on top driving the 00. Third and final heat went to "Texas" Travis Carroll in his trusty 07C. All 3 heat winners received "bonus" pay envelopes courtesy of Lowery Custom Carpentry in Riva, MD. Envelopes were presented by a young cowboy and cowgirl.
Following the wild Super Late Feature, the Ucar drivers "saddled up" for their 15 lap feature. Talk about fast and furious, everyone was going for every position they could get. Kevin Welsh lost a wheel as he was near the front of the pack on the front straight. And just like a western stampede, the rest of the Ucars went right by or over it. At first it was hard to figure who lost the wheel, cause Welsh keep on going and drove his 3 wheeler into the infield on his own power! Josh Wilkins, Brenda Alexander, Cody Sweeney, Travis Carroll, and Kevin Oates were shootin' it out for the lead with Joey Strosnider when something came off Joey's car. He also retired to the infield. Meanwhile while the battle continued for the lead, Tom Paddock started moving to the front. He took over about the halfway mark. Another driver who started way back was also on the move, and in the closing laps, Kevin Pollard, got into his stride and challenged Paddock for the lead. With only a few laps left Pollard got to the point and lead everyone to the checkered flag. They finished Pollard (77p), Paddock (44), and Carroll (07C). Pollard also won the hard charger award (when you're hot, you're hot). Austin Nichols won the lucky 50 award.
Next and final race in the series is August 18th, when the URDC midgets come back to Winchester.
