    Default Flywheel bolts

What flywheel bolts do you use for the bert flywheel?I know there 7/16 fine thread but do you have to use a 12 point head bolt?Because the 5/8 socket won't even fit in the slot to tighten a regular 7/16 bolt. Thanks for any kind of info on this.Rick

I used allen bolts and they work just fine

We've used both a 12 point and Allen for our Bert Couplers...

    Rick,
watch the length-----on a Bert flywheel a 1 inch underhead bolt is the correct length

many times a 1 1/4 long bolt will bottom out on the last thread making it "feel" tight but actually is not----consequently will break and then be very difficult to remove from crank

we use 1 inch long allen bolts with no washers and 1 drop of red threadlocker for bert flywheels
