Ponderosa Speedway Has Full Racing Program of Action Set for Lucky Friday July 13

Junction City, KY- July 8, 2012- After not racing last weekend due to the extreme heat and dry conditions, Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Larry Yantz and co-promoters Chad and Sarah Yantz are set to return to action with a full program of racing competition in all divisions on lucky Friday July 13 at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring”.

The Friday July 13 event will be a full program of racing action featuring Good Neighbor Pharmacy Late Models racing for $1,200 to win, Clayton Homes Modifieds for $600 to win, Ken Towery’s Auto and Tire Care Sportsman $300, Bob Allen Motor Mall Street Stocks $200 to win (8 car minimum), and Front Wheel Drives $200 to win (four entries or more). The Late Models, Modifieds, and Sportsman will time trial, while Street Stocks and Front Wheel Drives will pill draw for starting positions. All drivers will need to sign in at the registration window up arrival to the track and RACEceivers are mandatory in all divisions. Also the highest finishing Late Model driver in the feature event utilizing a Crate engine will receive a $100 bonus, with the next highest finishing Crate engine car and driver receiving a $50 bonus.

Activities for the Friday July 13 event will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., with the general admission area open at 5:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 7:00 p.m., with practice laps set to begin at 7:15 p.m. Time trials will begin at 7:45 p.m., with racing set for the green flag at 8:30 p.m. Ticket prices for Friday July 13 in the general admission area will be $12 for adults, children ages 6 to 12 will be $5, and children ages 5 and under are free with a paid adult. A pit pass will be $30.

The Saturday June 23 feature event winners included Dustin Neat of Dunnville, KY in Good Neighbor Pharmacy Late Models, Tommy Bailey of Corbin, KY in Clayton Homes Modifieds, Bartley Grant of Berea, KY in Ken Towery’s Auto and Tire Care Sportsman, and Adam Gregory of Gray, KY in Bob Allen Motor Mall Front Wheel Drives.
