Spring mount issue

I got a problem where the front leaf spring hanger mount has rusted out a good bit in the rocker panels. Just wondering if you guys had any info on a good fix for this problem.

I tried welding the mount back up and I ran some longer 3/8 bolts through the floorboard but I don't feel like that is good enough

Cut out the sheet metal floor to gain access to the actual mount for the spring. Attach a piece of tubing from the lower cross bar of the 4 point down to the spring perch. This should have been done when the car was built. While you're in there, may as well do both sides. Car will probably hook better after this is done as it will be riding on the springs rather than the floor board.

better check with your track teck for you go to cutting,...might hafta buy some "re-po" metal to weild back in there....
