Stateline speedway in Busti Ny hosted the Lucas Oil Series on Tuesday night! The first thing they did was make it affordable by charging $20 to get in and then, to our surprise, discounted all the track food prices! [Probably the reason for the biggest crowd possibly in their history] It was a good feeling to go to a big race and not feel like a victim of a crime for once! The real bonus was that it turned out to be a great show to boot! The local guys, Mike Knight and Dave Hess had the crowd on there feet before it was over, Knight from 6th and Hess coming from deep in the field to finish 2nd and 3rd respectively! Knight was so close to winning it in heavy lap traffic as he had his nose ahead of Blankinship a least once or twice the last 2 laps. Congrats to Blankenship on his win because he sured earned it!

Bloomquist and Chub had quite a brawl racing for 2nd until Knight went around them like they were back markers! Then Hess went around them the same way and that settled them both down! It was fun to watch especially when Bloomquist was sideways down the back stretch trying to keep up with them!
