Cool All Roads Lead to Lincoln Speedway Friday Night to Begin a HUGE Racing Weekend!!!

All Roads Lead to Lincoln, IL Friday August 17th; For the Start of a Huge Racing Weekend

(Macon, IL) POWRi’s Lucas Oil National Midget Series and Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series are (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)ed and ready to do battle at two of the series most competitive dirt ovals.
On Friday Night, August 17th, the two series head to the racy ¼ mile at the Logan County fairground track, Lincoln Speedway. Danny Stratton won the POWRi Midget event there in June, with 13 year old Justin Peck picking up the win in Micros, becoming the youngest winner ever in POWRi Micros! Also on tap will be the UMP Modifieds, Street Stocks and 4-cylinders.
NASCAR Star Kenny Wallace will be on hand Friday night at Lincoln Speedway doing battle in his UMP Open Wheel Modified.
Then on Saturday Night, August 18th, POWRi Midgets and Micros will heat up the action at “World’s Fastest 1/5 mile”, Macon Speedway for the ninth annual “Dana Godfrey Memorial”. The event pays tribute to the late wife of Midget chassis builder John Godfrey. Dave Darland won last year’s Dana Godfrey Memorial. The two series have raced twice previously at Macon this season with Zach Daum and Bubba Altig grabbing Midget wins. Micro victories at the fast fifth went to Alex Harris and Aaron Andruskevitch.
With both tracks being racy bullrings at Lincoln Speedway and Macon Speedway, action should be thrilling. Don’t miss this action packed week-end of Open Wheel racing!
Tickets are only $15 with kids 11 & under FREE! Gates open at 5pm with racing action getting under way at 7pm!
