White, Arms, Decker, and Tomlinson Take Checkered Flags First at Lake Cumberland Speedway

Burnside, KY-August 25, 2012- Lake Cumberland Speedway would present yet another Saturday evening of dirt track racing and feature event winners would include Dillan White of Crofton, KY in Super Late Models, Ricky Arms of Moss, TN in Modifieds, Keith Decker of Somerset, KY in Super Dirt Stocks, and Scott Tomlinson of Somerset, KY in Front Wheel Drives.

Tim Tungate would take the lead at the start of the 30 lap, $1,500 to win Super Late Model with Dillan White giving chase. Tungate and White would quickly pull away from the field until the first caution of the race waved on lap 6 for a spin by Matt Henderson in turn four. The restart would see demise for Tungate when his mount slowed exiting turn two with mechanical issues and rolling pitside, done for the night. White would inherit the lead at this point and would keep second place David Marlar at bay by three to five car lengths for most of the middle portion of the event until caution waved for the final time on lap 24 when fifth place running Tommy Bailey slowed on the frontchute. The restart would see White again pull away and take the victory in his White Masonry sponsored #54 MasterSbilt Race Car. Marlar would take runner-up honors, with Tommy Gregory taking third. Johnny Wheeler would slip past Rod Carter, Jr. on lap 25 to take fourth, while Carter, Jr. completed the top five. Thirteen entries would see White also be the top qualifier at 13.885 seconds and also win a heat, while Tungate won the other heat.

Ricky Arms would take the lead at the start of the 20 lap, $700 to win Modified feature event and hold off charges of Tommy Bailey in the early going of the race and eventually pull away in the caution-free affair to take the victory in the Randy Davis owned Davis Auto Parts/Arms Body Shop sponsored #4 Lightning Chassis. Bailey would take runner-up honors, while Mikah Reams would claim third. Ben Petrey and Cameron Marlar rounded out the top five. Eleven entries would see Bailey be the top qualifier at 15.162 seconds and also win a heat, while Arms claimed the other heat win.

Tim McMullin would lead the first nine laps of the Super Dirt Stock feature before his looped his mount exiting turn four while battling with division points leader Keith Decker. Decker would inherit the lead at that point and lead the remaining six laps to win yet another feature event in the class in his unsponsored #2. McMullin would finish second, while Allen Crabtree claimed third. Decker would be the top qualifier at 15.924 seconds.

Scott Tomlinson would lead all 10 laps of the Front Wheel Drive feature event to pick up his first win of the season behind the wheel of his unsponsored #4 machine. Charles Burton would run second for much of the event before suffering a flat left front tire, allowing Rusty Light to finish second, while Burton would take third. Burton was also the top qualifier at 18.417 seconds.
