    Default 1inche or 2inche spacer.....

    ok question for u guys,,,, we r runnin a 602 class at our local track that is 1/2 mile in size. we currently r runnin a 1inche spacer and was wonderin would the 2 be better and pick us up alittle? local motorman says doesnt really show no advantage on dyno?? but everyone else in top 3 i have seen is runnin the 2

    Lowering the carb increases bottom end, raising it will increase the top end. There are limits of course but that is the basics of it. If your track is fast on restarts or not many cautions and you can keep the speed thru the corners I would go to the 2 inch spacer. If it is tight corners and you are trying to get under them coming out or there are a BUNCH of restarts then the 1 inch may be a better choice and if it is a small 1/4 mile track you may be better without a spacer at all. When we drag raced we had from 1-4 1/2 inch spacers by 1/2 inch. We used them to tune the launch to the traction available.
