Default Southern All Stars Buddy Rogers Memorial; Take II on Saturday Sept 8th at Tazewell TN

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Southern All Stars Buddy Rogers Memorial; Take II on Saturday September 8th at Tazewell

HUNTSVILLE, AL (September 3, 2012)—After Hurricane Isaac made its presence knows over the last few days, the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series and Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN are both ready to get back to the business at hand.

The Fourth edition of the Buddy Rogers Memorial at Tazewell Speedway will be ran this Saturday Night September 8th paying $4,400 to win and be 44 laps in length for the Feature event, in memory and honor of long time East Tennessee competitor Buddy Rogers. The event was originally scheduled for Sunday Night September 2nd but Hurricane Isaac wouldn’t allow, thus forcing track owner Gary Hall to postpone the event to its new date of September 8th.

The event will feature a complete show of Practice, VP Racing Fuels Qualifying, Hoosier Racing Tire Last Chance Showdowns and the 44-lap Feature event. Also racing on Saturday will be the Modified Streets, Pure Streets and Four Cylinders. The Tazewell Late Models will not be in competition that night.

General admission tickets are $20 for adults with children nine and under admitted free with a paying adult. Pit passes are $30, children 12 and under are $20. Pit gates and grandstand gates will open at 5:00. Racing will start at 7:30.

Tazewell Speedway along with Jimmy "Pup" Thomas of Hoosier Tire South is once again raising money for the American Cancer Society in conjunction with the Buddy Rogers Memorial 44. Drivers, fans, business owners, and anyone else can sponsor a lap for $44 (or more if someone choses to donate more). A lap board will be kept to display all the names that made donations to this cause. If you or your business would like to sponsor a lap and/or make a donation, contact Pup at 865-806-4459.

Tazewell Speedway is located just two miles northwest of Tazewell, Tennessee. Going north on US 25-E, turn right and then left onto Bacchus Rd, and then 1.8 miles north, then .8 miles west and the race track is located on the left.
