Fayette County 2 day show

I have a question for anyone heading to Fayette County. I see that they are making it a 2 day show. Is Kankakee doing a higher paying show in one day? Why would they want to drag it out? I will probably not bring our car to this show, and just watch on Saturday. The drive is long for me, the high pitpass, entry, and motel, it is too expensive.

I know that they are two different days. But, my question is, why are they making it a 2 day show, when Kankakee can do it in one, for no entry fee and a $30 pitpass?

the main reason it is a two day show is that for the mods pure stocks, non big show hornets and added classes it is a complete show each night so not only do the streets run for good money they also get a complete show each night to watch for the pit pass you buy not a bad deal imo for two good nights of racing hope to see a good turn out

The way racing is nowadays, when any promoter puts up this kind of money for Street Stocks, I would think that people would be more excited! I'm not trying to be a d!ck or start anything, because I know money is tight, but I just don't understand why people complain so much about when they have to pay more for a big money show, some tracks can't afford "No Entry Fee races" like K3 can, but at least they are doing what they can to put up some cash for us drivers. Yes, the price to get in is a little bit steep, and there aren't too many big money Street Stock shows, so I for one will be attending with my car. Once again, sorry if I sounded like an a$$, but i am just putting in my 2 cents!

Whats the FULL payout IF they get 35 cars? Then whats the payout if they dont? I would think thats a big question for anybody thinking about attending. Also has there water restriction been lifted?

2day show equals double pay for promotor....not double pay for the racer. Make it a 1 day show..water the track so you don't have to buy new "h" emods..don't cut the pay ...am I getn close? Oh heck..I'm not going anyway.lol

there is a water restriction when the pond is DRY!!!! Last time I was there it was dry and slick in the heats...track is usually like that by feature time always anyways! It's never that race'y...choo choo...chug a chug lug!

i just wish it wasnt a 2 day show...were just street stocks. we dowt have big fansy traliors and semis to sleep in like late modles and mods. do it in one day and get a better turn out....but at least there willing to put on a ss show

With any easy phone call to 618-347-2327 i got some answers.
Payout will be like it has been in the past...Last year they had 37 cars and it went something like this
1. 2000
2.1000
3.600
4.500
5.450
6.400
7.350
8. 325
9.300
10. lost track but something just like this and 13-last was $200

If the get 20 cars it is $1200 and still $200 to start.....

-I also made a suggestion of doing two different shows and that would be a $500 to win each night if more interest in that!
It is as easy as a phone call to the promotor and just ask instead of being behind the computer pecking away......

If your interested in seperate shows then post or call and let the promotor know what your interest is. I understand how tight money is to be away for 2 days and so does everyone else but you have to contact once again 618-347-2327 which is the promotors home phone. I did it so im sure anyone else could.

Also i would have to say i have ran there over 10 times this year and track has always been either in the middle top or bottom todd so maby you just didn't try another line. trust me its there! Track has been smooth all year and i would say the raciest track honestly i have been to this season. everyone has the right to there opinions but ask anyone who has been there more than once and get there honest opinion on the surface.
All i got to say and won't say know more as i don't look on here anymore bc all i get is opinions and not any facts. I will start a list of what people want and who will be attending regardless
and if is a 2 day show of $2000 to win i will put my own $50 to someone that can win the race if they havnt been to the track this year!

FYI...there's a difference between racing conditions and racing groove? It's the racing "conditions" I'm talking about...the lack of using "water"! For anyone that goes to Fayette County, it will be the slickest track you will ever run on in IL unless it rains the night before or day of. This way all are informed and not let down when they get there...this is not bashing...it's informing fellow racers!

do you hate all tracks in central/southern illinois? or just the drivers that you still havent managed to beat? you are only making excuses of not going so you dont look like an idiot like you do most of the time you show up at the track.

ya that's it exactly, not.... not scared of competition! Possibly some of the best competition was at Lincoln this year and I won 2 times there. Current UMP National Points of 2nd, 6th, 7th, 8th and 12th raced at Lincoln....and who's the idiot call'n someone an idiot? I'm sure I know ya but your just hiding behind a screen name! I just call it like it is..you call it disliking or bashing even though that's not it at all...so be it! Get ya an "H" and enjoy the 2 day Oct. race!
