Bart Hartman Charges to Fourth in Renegades of Dirt Finale; Second in Points

(ZANESVILLE, OHIO) Bart Hartman and the 2 Brothers Motorsports team closed out the 2012 version of the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour schedule on Saturday night, October 6 at the Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio. Bart laid down a quick lap of 18.527 seconds during qualifying, which was good for Fast Time honors on the evening. Unfortunately, his night took a turn for the worse in his heat race, when his fan was pushed back into the radiator, which caused him to finish seventh in the prelim and rely on a series provisional to gain access into the $1,500 to win A-Main.

After starting from the outside of the tenth row in the 25-lap feature event, Bart put on a great show for the fans in attendance at the 3/8-mile Buckeye State facility. The Zanesville, Ohio star charged past sixteen competitors during the race to claim an impressive fourth place performance behind only winner Bobby Kitchen, Joel Watson, and Ryan Michaels. Bart finished a close second in the final Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour point standings behind only teammate and champion Bobby Kitchen. The #75 team will return to dirt-slinging action this Saturday evening, October 13 at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. The American Modified Series (AMS) will sanction their Season Championship race and a $5,000 top prize is up for grabs. A full program featuring qualifying, heat races, consolation events, and the A-Main will be held at the 1/2-mile Cincinnati-area speedplant this weekend. Bart has won numerous Dirt Late Model races at Florence in the past including the $50,000 ‘North/South 100’ back in 2005.
