    Default messing with THE tire

You can get them down to 35 with the right homemade brew and a little time but all the problems you will bring down on your head are not worth all the effort. Your car will pick up a second a lap or more but you will stick out like a sore thumb and everybody will run to the tech man and rat you out. Best off paying attention to siping and grinding correctly and tire temps to get your car working the best you can. You will be surprised at the guys who spend 350 bucks on a shock with a 50 dollar claim and 15000 grand on a motor with a 1000 dollar claim who will get all high and mighty over someone trying to keep up by being "creative" with their tires.

    Default grind and sipe

We found that if you use the carbide wheel they sell for 50 bucks and grind from inside of tire to outside edge and then around the circumfrence once that it works well . Do not be afraid of roughing it up the rougher the better . If it feels like a carpet it will bite like crazy. Every time you go out it should be on a fresh grind on at least the rears and right front . We sipe em to death, we cut em up into eighth inch blocks trying to use tread squirm like a softer compound .Works for us ,lot of time invested every week though but we finished 3rd or better since may 10 including 4 wins and high point car . The old timer recipe to soften em uses xylene tranny fluid and PB Blaster, cut sheets as wide as tread, soak strips in goo and wrap around tire then wrap tire sheets and all with siran wrap, let soak for 4 or 5 days should takem from 65 to 50 on duromiter just enough not to get you in trouble with tech . Not that we would ever do that .

Always show up with the right tires, you never know what the
tracks going to be like.TBKlogger is spot on with his legal ways of
prepping a tire.JMO tires are THE most important part of the
racecar. You ARE racing against tires prepped with chemicals.

    Good Luck
