Wendell Wallace Nabs $3,000 Victory in CCSDS Finale; Magnolia Next!

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The "Batesville Bullet" Wendell Wallace made the last minute decision to attend the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series finale pay off in a big way, as he bagged a $3,000 victory on Saturday night, October 20 at the Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas! After running second in his heat race, Wendell rolled off starting sixth on the grid in the 35-lap main event. The Batesville, Arkansas chauffeur drove to the front of the field and grabbed the top spot on lap twelve. Wendell then led the remainder of the distance to capture his fifth triumph of 2012 over Tanner English, Brandon Smith, Kyle Beard, and Jon Kirby. Full results from Riverside can be viewed by clicking on www.compdirt.com.

“We kinda wrestled back and forth last week about racing or not, but I am glad we made the decision to head to Riverside,” stated Wallace this week. “It was a good run for us to start sixth in the feature and drive up through there to get the win. Our Barry Wright car has been pretty good this year at Magnolia, so hopefully we can roll in there this weekend and keep running towards the front.”

The Wendell Wallace Autosports team will now turn their focus to the 9th Annual ‘Cotton Pickin 100’ at the Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. The unsanctioned event on October 26-27 at “The Mag” boasts a $15,000 payday. Qualifying and heat race action will take place on Friday night, while the consolation events and the 100-lap A-Main are scheduled for Saturday evening. Wendell has enjoyed several strong runs at Magnolia this year including a weekly show victory back in March. Additional information can be accessed by clicking on www.magnoliadirt.com.
