    Default Alky carb

I assume this is a 500 cfm carb and if it is we run 136-138 jets for a 2348 CC engine. It was a rocket off the corner. Robert

Depends on what metering block you have. Does the metering block accept the large Alky jets? If so, 140's is in the ballpark. If it has the hole above the jets *which I don't like* then depending on the hole size probably 84's or so.

Is there any thing more you got to do to the motor to run alky? And do you notice a performace dif?

No. Run it and you won't want to go back to gas. Substantial difference.

I assume when you say alcohol, you mean methanol, not ethanol, which is available in E85 pump gas, correct?

Regular ole holley regulator will work. Use the holley needle and seat brand only and around 6.5 on the fuel pressure. The holley brand needle and seat will hold more pressure before over running the float. Get everything warm and set the idle. The idle will tend to rise after a heat race because heat makes the engine more efficient with alky making it have a leaner idle when warm and idling up.

no return needed as long as your not over 8 psi...alk. motors tend to like more timing also..

8 psi is to high keep it around 6.5 psi. Sounds like your having a pull over issue coming off of the corner.
