Ponderosa Speedway Celebration of Champions Set for Saturday November 17

Junction City, KY-November 6, 2012- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Larry Yantz and track co-promoters Chad and Sarah Yantz are set officially close out the 2012 racing with the track’s Celebration of Champions night on Saturday November 17.

The final event of the 2012 race season for Ponderosa Speedway will take place on Saturday evening November 17 as the 3/8 mile D-Shaped red clay track better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” will present its 2012 Celebration of Champions awards banquet that will honor the top ten drivers in track points in each of the track’s four respective divisions for the 2012 season.

The 2012 Celebration of Champions activities will take place on Saturday November 17 and will be held at the American Legion in Stanford, KY, which is located at 909 East Main Street, just off of Cordier Road on KY HWY 78. The dress for the event is casual. Admission for the evening’s events will be $10 for adults, with children ages 12 and under free.

The events of the evening will include a meal, followed by the recognition of the top ten drivers in the track’s Good Neighbor Pharmacy Late Model, Clayton Homes Modified, Ken Towery’s Auto and Tire Care, and Bob Allen Motor Mall Front Wheel Drive divisions, along with an overall track rookie of the year. The top five in track points in each division will receive money and trophies, while drivers finishing sixth through tenth in each division will receive a plaque commemorating their accomplishments. The evening will conclude with the crowning of the Ponderosa Speedway 2012 track champions in all four divisions.

Activities for the 2012 Ponderosa Speedway Celebration of Champions awards banquet will see honored drivers, guests, and track patrons allowed to enter the American Legion hall beginning at 5:00 p.m. There will be a meal served beginning at 6:00 p.m., while the celebration of champions and awards ceremony will begin immediately following the meal.
