Dennis Erb, Jr. An Impressive Runner-Up in National 100; Duck River Next

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Dennis Erb Racing team rolled into the East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama on November 10-11 for the 38th edition of the 'National 100.' On Saturday during preliminary action, Dennis Erb, Jr. timed in twenty-first fastest of the 35 entrants during qualifying and later finished third in his loaded heat race to advance into Sunday's 100-lapper. During the course of the unsanctioned 'National 100,' which boasted a hefty $20,000 top prize, Dennis rallied from his ninth starting spot to advance seven positions. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace finished a close runner-up behind only victor Jimmy Owens, marking Dennis' best career 'National 100' performance. “It was a strong run for us the other night at Phenix City,” commented Erb earlier today via telephone. “We didn’t qualify real well, but got the car where it needed to be come feature time. I was able to run with Jimmy (Owens) there after that last caution, but running with him and passing him were two different things. We’ll work hard at the shop this week before heading back south to Duck River and hopefully we can have another solid run in our season finale.”

Dennis and his #28 team are scheduled to conclude their 2012 racing season on November 16-17 at the Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee. The inaugural running of the ‘Deep Fried 75’ will take place at DRRP this weekend and a $10,000 winner’s check will be on the line. Super Late Model qualifying and heat races are slated for Friday night, while the consolation races and the 75-lap feature event are scheduled for Saturday evening.
