 Jimmy Owens will get my vote for the NMPA Richard Petty Driver of the Year

As a member of the National Motorsports Press Association I have a vote for the Richard Petty Driver of the Year. Normally, this award is a rubber stamp for the NASCAR champion but I'm casting my vote for Jimmy Owens.
The article comes with a somewhat goofy video that helps explain my choice.

28 wins in everything on 4 wheels. If not for a late caution, he would have won the very truck race you refer to. He didn't take Blaney out, Austin Dillon came down on Larson. Blaney was the innocent victim.

Jimmy Owens is one of my favorite drivers, but you are correct. Kyle Larson, without a doubt, was the best driver this year.
