    Default 604 crate in mod

Im thinking of going this route in my imca mod but got a few questions.

Can you run alky or is gas better?
who makes the best gas carb?
will a msd ignition work or is it better to go with hei set up?
also who makes good headers for these?

The benifit to using alcohol comes from being able to use a higher compression. You wouldn't have that with a 604.

The can, as all internal combustion engine, be run on alcohol. The engine is not designed to be optimum on alcohol though. The compression and cam are not the best for alcohol. You can gain some torque though but your HP numbers are not going to do much.

I know a lot of guys are seeing significant gains with E-85. Obviously you have to have the right carb and you'll need to be careful to make sure you are REALLY getting E-85 or your could end up with some serious problems.

bill hendren said that good e-85 would make as good of "peek" numbers as rattman crate fuel,..the rest of the curve was off significantly...and he liked the rattman crate juice the best outta all the fuels he dyno'd!

The E-85 should have been right with the Ratman on hp and better on torque if everything was right.
