quick fuel carb for 604 crate

Would anyone recommend the quick fuel carb for 604 crate engine. The engine will not be rebuilt just straight out of the box and into my latemodel. I see threads that speak about detonating an engine if carb is not a good carb. Just trying to save money! if this carb will work just fine with no worries about killing the motor I will go with it. thanks

I run one and its a good carb. Good response after a good tune. Seems to like an extra half degree or so of timing compared to our holley
