    Default Aluminum Oil Pans?

Besides the weight, what are the advantages of running Dan Olsen or Doug Lee Engineuity types? We currently run the higher end champ steel pans.

I see that Champ now makes aluminum pans as well.

    Thanks.

Would act as an oil cooler allowing the heat to transfer more rapidly.

Also make your wallet lighter. Seems like a good way to spend unnecessary money but that's just me.

I'll stick with steel. Guy I race with bought a champ aluminum pan. Hit a rock in the infield avoiding an accident and cracked it. Couldn't fix it at the track. Steel could have been welded.
My sarcasm is a pre-emptive strike to your stupidity!!
