VDL, The end, Thats it. We tested on the Dyno against non gauge legal carbs and nothing came close! We ran VDL all year against non legal Willis Carbs and kicked there buts!

i have a davinci gauge legal for sale, choke horn milled flat, was on a nascar sanctioned assfault truck before i bought it for my stocker, $400 shipped, been sitting for a couple years, but always worked great, the guy i bought it from dynoed and tested with the davinci, vdl, and dorton he said the dorton made the best power but drove the worst, the vdl was slightly better than the davinci and that was what he kept, but said there was almost no difference between the 2 in the seat of your pants or the dyno

i've got a non gauge legal vdl and on the dyno my gauge legal jdr comes within 5hp of it. i think with a few tweeks we plan on this offseason we can match it.

jdr & vdl would be my top 2 carb choices.

I'd stay away from kinetic performance. i had a carb done by him and it was a dog on the dyno. down 75hp from 6000 rpm on up.

Where might your cam guy be located? Dayton did a 4412 for us a few years ago and it ran great (never dynoed though).

Yep Camcraft... how does your cam perform? I'm running cast in and out AND aluminum in and cast out on an Olds (different tracks). Charles at Camcraft is an OLDS guy and I'm hoping he ground the right cam for me... he IS pretty knowledgeable unlike some cam outfits high school exoerts who answer the phone.

He ground a .491 lift hydraulic cam with a "backwards" pattern that has a longer duration intake than exhaust to help with the reversion encountered with a cast exhaust when running over 6,000 rpms.
