Got a challenge for you...

It's called the Reliable Chevrolet B-Mod Nationals. It happens at West Plains Motor Speedway in the Ozark Moutains of southern Missouri on April 4th-6th and it pays $10,000 to win!

And you don't have to race Terry Phillips, Jeremy Payne, Jeff Taylor, Ryan Gustin, Wayne Brooks, etc., etc. to get it either. The promoters of this show at West Plains Motor Speedway are trying to make this $60,000 purse event for Sport Mod racers (B Mods/E Mods/Pro-Mods/STEMS/etc.) and ONLY Sport Mod racers, anywhere they race. Lots of different rules out there and the four options they chose : IMCA Northern Sport Mods, Wissota Midwest Mods, West Plains B-Mods and USRA B-Mods. No mixing. Must declare which set of rules you're using when you enter. PRE-enter only. No at-the-gate entries accepted.

Biggest cost is distance of course. Then, this race carries a $220 entry fee too but it does pay $825 to finish LAST in the A-main. That would be 28th spot. Each position up the payout sheet pays $25 per spot from there. 27th gets $850, 26th gets $875 and all the way up to 9th which gets $1300. The top 8 paydown? $10,000-6000-4000-2000-1800-1600-1500-1450. There's even a non-qualifiers feature on the final day that pays $2000 to win and $100 to start and everybody's going to get a little bit of their entry fee back even if they don't make either feature.

You may can. ??? Read the USRA B Mod rules: http://usraracing.com/rulesdetail.asp?NewsID=4423 and then contact the tech man at the email on the flier and verify they allow all the options the rules show.

Just in case you hear any different... THIS RACE is a GO! (Even the early weather looks good but not talking about weather yet...)

Been talking with the West Plains folks today and 78 entry fees have been received. Phone calls indicate at least 8 more are mailed and the calls keep coming so....plan on it! Remember, Saturday's the deadline to get entered so get after it if you want a real shot at winning $10,000 for a change! This is 'old school' entry style too. Fill out the form, drop in a money order or a check and make sure it's postmarked by Saturday.

Limited Pro Modified's (UMP) can be 4 bar with quick change, any modified with a 602 crate motor.

Ended up with 115 entries as is. Race happens this weekend.

I'm sure they'll review all options for 2014 if all goes well this week.

If you did allow ump you could limit it to 3 link or leafspring cars only. Just a consideration for next year.
