Scott James Tabbed as Warrior House Car Driver for 2013; Starts Season with Speedweeks!

(KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE) Dirt Late Model driver Scott James and Warrior Race Cars are excited to announce today that they have teamed up for the 2013 racing season and will start their campaign later this week at the Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia! Scott, who spent most of 2012 behind the wheel of a Riggs Motorsports entry, will pilot the familiar #1G machine for Knoxville, Tennessee-based Warrior Race Cars. Primary sponsorship for the new combination will come from Powell Motorsports, Goddard Performance Parts, Goddard Guttering, Warrior Race Cars, Custom Race Engines, Hoffmann Trucking, and Jerry’s Truck & Diesel.

“I am really excited about this opportunity to drive the Warrior House Car,” exclaimed James earlier this morning from the Warrior Race Cars shop. “I have been working on this deal since before Christmas with Sanford (Goddard), everything came together recently, and now we are almost ready to go racing. It is great to have Ron Powell back on board with my racing program. He has been such an integral part of my racing career and to have him associated with the Warrior House Car team is just awesome. This is a joint effort between everyone involved and I am looking forward to Speedweeks and the rest of the year!’

Scott and the Warrior team will strike out sometime tomorrow to start their “Speedweeks 2013” journey. Plans currently call for Scott to compete at the Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia on February 8-9, the Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida on February 15-17, and the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida on February 18-23. A new website (www.scottjamesmotorsports.com) is in the works for the driver known as the “Silver Shark” and should be launched sometime during “Speedweeks” or shortly after.

Scott James, Sanford Goddard, and Ron Powell would like to thank everyone that is associated with the Warrior House Car team including: Powell Motorsports, Goddard Performance Parts, Goddard Guttering, Warrior Race Cars, Custom Race Engines, Hoffmann Trucking, Jerry’s Truck & Diesel, Hoosier Racing Tires, Turbo Start Batteries, ATL Fuel Cells, FSR Radiators, Outwears Pre-Filters, Hawk Brakes, TWM Products, GW Performance, Wilwood Engineering, Keyser Manufacturing, Integra Shocks & Springs, Kirkey Seats, Delph Communications, Goodridge Hose & Fittings, VP Race Fuels, R2C Performance, Dyer’s Top Rods, Willet Powder Coating, Rod End Supply, Winters Rear Ends, and Beyea Headers.
