Generator help

I was wondering if anyone can answer a few questions about how some people are using a pair of small generators wired together instead of the usual larger single one. I see that Honda and Yamaha sell them as a parallel kit but the price is a "touch" high. For less than half the Honda units I can buy a 5500 watt Generac and a hell of a lot of gas. lol. Was wondering if anyone was doing something different to save a few bucks.

I use the 2 Honda eu2000 units. Best money you can spend.they are easy on your back you can carry one in each hand. They are whisper quiet and barely sip fuel. The best thing is if you only need a small amount of power like during the daytime just using a tire sander or grooving tool you only start just one unit then if you need more for lights ,a/c,etc. You add in the other unit. Save the money somewhere else and get the Hondas, you will be much happier and so will your neighbors.
