    Default LF shock location

    Not sure if im seein it right but got to see few photos from recent usmts race and some have shock mounted inside the spring on the LF , shyrocks car was most
    visible ... or i could be seeing things

    Are you sure those aren't southern sport mods in the pics you are looking at?

    I think that's a southern sport mod. It's got Hoosier tires on it. Usmts is on AR tire.

    you are correct , my bad , car looked just like kelly shyrocks number and paint scheme but seen shyrock had an all white car , and the southern ( limited ) mods were also running there

    safer maybe for the shock better idea no.you want the shock as close to the tire as safely possible .some mount the shocks in front of or behind the a-arm for clearance reasons but that puts the shock in more danger in the event of a crash.
