    Default Switch to e85?

    Currently run a mod on alky...but fumes even with garage open do a number on my sinuses long story...not when engine running...But anyway...wanting to switch to e85' what kind of power or torque will I lose ? Also what carb builder for e85 should I go with?Thanks

    Personally don't think the smell of E85 is much better. You will lose 30-40 on the torque end and 20-30 HP if this is an open motor. A crate will only lose 10 on each.

    E-85 is no better on the nose. I started adding fuel scent to my alcohol and it makes it much easier to deal with. Cotton candy sales go up when I am on the track too.

    I actually find people sniffing my exhaust. I have to explain to them that just because it smells good does not mean its good for you.

    Thanks, it's not the smell as much as it is the way the methanol dries out my sinuses. The e85 does not seem to cause as much trouble for me....Any recommendations for carbs ?

    I started using jdr 3 or 4 years ago and i have been nothing but pleased. Very helpful guy.

    I SECOND THAT!!! Hes great and the carb work is wonderful...

    He has tons of info on E85 make sure you ask every question no matter how goofy you think it is...
