Shock valving
If you go from a 5-5 oil shock on the LR to a 4-3 oil shock, what change in handling can you expect?

the lower rebound should generally tighten overall, however you won't have as much resistance to getting down off the bars when you let off the throttle, due to lower compression.

There is a log winded aswer to this question but I don't feel like typing it out!lol But... In general switching from an oil 5-5 to an oil 4-3, I don't think you will feel any difference in the two, the valving is actually pretty close(for most shocks) so your not really changing a whole lot. The left rear on a 4 bar LM does a lot of moving around and carries a lot of wieght, a small change like what you propose probably won't amount to much.

Agree with Talon...bet you wouldn't notice one thing different

I would tend to agree with the previous responders. The valving "numbers" 3,4,5,6,etc. are completely arbitrary and vary from one manufacturer to another and even from one style shock to another from the same manufacturer. And that number doesn't tell you anything about whether the shock is valved linear, progressive, or digressive.

Thanks guys.
I know all about the LR movement. Here's an undercar video we shot:
