ok everyone, i got my engine out and pulled the pan off. There is no stamping on my rod bolts or nuts. They are 6 point nuts and a 14mm socket fits them. NOT 13mm. I cant see the head of the bolt, but I felt them with my finger and they are smooth (no stamping) with a dome to them. From pictures the arp rod bolts have ARP stamped on the head, but im not sure if thats how they are in reality. Can anyone help me tell if these are stock bolts or not?
They could be Pioneer rod bolts,i seem to recall they have no markings
No matter how hard you try...you cant fix stupid!!!

Can anyone verify that? also what should the rod side clearance be in relation to the crankshaft? I have KB pistons and there is a 30 stamped on the underside of each piston, does that mean they are .030 oversized?

does it say KB 218 on the side of the piston?

looks like the stock bolts. they look just like some i have here. for sure not arp. the kb pistons i have have kb and 217 cast on one side. the other side has sl and 97. on the bottom of the piston it has a 9.30 cast in them. these are 5.2 rod and i believe 0.040 over.

So after determining I had stock rod bolts I pulled the rod caps today. I was going to order the arp rod bolts and new rod bearings, but I found all the rod bearings looking like this...... anyone know why these rod bearings are so jacked up? The crank journals still are in terrific shape. Also are the stock pinto main bolts TTY bolts? I want to check the main bearings and see if they too look like this. Had great oil pressure the whole season.
