From pictures the arp rod bolts have ARP stamped on the head, but im not sure if thats how they are in reality. Can anyone help me tell if these are stock bolts or not?
They could be Pioneer rod bolts,i seem to recall they have no markings

Can anyone verify that? also what should the rod side clearance be in relation to the crankshaft? I have KB pistons and there is a 30 stamped on the underside of each piston, does that mean they are .030 oversized?

so heres a the best pic I could get of the head of the rod bolts. As you can see its domed and shinny. Does this look like a stock rod bolt?

looks like the stock bolts. they look just like some i have here. for sure not arp. the kb pistons i have have kb and 217 cast on one side. the other side has sl and 97. on the bottom of the piston it has a 9.30 cast in them. these are 5.2 rod and i believe 0.040 over.

Olin these nuts are 14mm. Do your stock nuts also fit a 14mm socket?

So after determining I had stock rod bolts I pulled the rod caps today. I was going to order the arp rod bolts and new rod bearings, but I found all the rod bearings looking like this...... anyone know why these rod bearings are so jacked up? The crank journals still are in terrific shape. Also are the stock pinto main bolts TTY bolts? I want to check the main bearings and see if they too look like this. Had great oil pressure the whole season.
