Default Aluminum Block Stripped Head Bolts

Have a aluminum chevy block that 3 of the head bolt holes are stripped.

Anyone have any ideas to repair this besides buying a new block?

Someone said a helicoil but will that hold up?

Loctite them in and use head studs.

Not a helicoil. I have used Time-sert inserts on cast block with success. You can buy a kit off of ebay. Its a steel sleeve instead of wire. Its what we fix northstar cadillac blocks with.

The Time Serts may be the way to go but do you think they will hold up on a motor with about 700-800 HP and the abusive it will go through racing?

Got some heli-coils from Brodix one time they were about an inch long fixed the problem.
