Their wage went up with inflation, yet it seems it's working for them. How can this be? You don't have to starve some people so the others eat?
12.30 an hour which wal mart employees get is way above min wage

By the way, Mr. Shoals, would you not say Walmart is a Socialist company? They do like to spread the cost of their employees basic needs back to the taxpayers. Just look at the factual numbers in Ohio to back that up. Over 10,000 plus of Valmarts Comrades get to use state aid for health care. Pure socialism.

No. I am not for socialism. Especially when corporations use it to subsidize their businesses. Go scream your hatred to Comrade Walton and his family.

You are not very good with truth. You don't even want people to know who you are, you just hide behind that screen name.

So, is Walmart not socialist? They pay their workers so little they have to rely on socialism to survive and Walmart is quite happy to use that socialist safety net.

Doesn't sound much like they are good Patriots and Capitalists to me.

The Walton Regime is still in charge, carrying on the family way of business. Use, abuse, profit. Share the cost, keep the wealth.

Are you happy knowing your tax dollars subsidize a socialist company?

It's just hate. You guys, especially you with your multiple screen names and your buddy over in Indiana with his wild tangents, can't handle truth.

Economies are not about costs, they are about moving money. More money in the hands of consumers moves more money. Less money in the hands of consumers, moves less money. Even though their cost of living costs more, there are more people that can afford it and aren't on welfare or unemployment. Cost is relative. I made a darn good living on $90 a week in the 50s. Better than $500 a week now.

The large share of employers and consumers are not the Walmarts they are small business. When these people do well, everyone does well. As it is Walmarts are squeezing them out, intentional or not, with this bean counter business model.

Your darned right, Sam is dead. When he was alive Walmart sold Made In America and you didn't have to stand in line for a half hour. What they have now isn't Sam's business model that the Corporation was built on.

Don't stop there, Tell Us you buy Made in America, The employees get to work 40 hours a week and there is a Woman manager. Then tell us they received no tax incentives to build their store in your community.

If this is the business model every employer has to follow, our country is doomed.

No kidding. These corporations love to privatize the profit, and socialize the costs. Good socialist companies, they get the rewards of capitalism while America gets the bills. They call that wealth redistribution. And yes, as long as we keep paying subsidy after subsidy to corporations for the jobs they bring to the local community, we are doomed to failure. This model of Capitalism we currently live under, there is no way we are going to survive.

So I take it you would like some laws to make those employers pay you the overtime?

I don't get you. You bring up all your personal experiences with crap money, crap hours, getting crapped on by your employers but as soon as someone says to you "there is a better way, but you'll need to change some of your perceptions about why you get ripped off the way you do (like corporate America isn't your buddy, Mitt Romney wasn't going to help you make a better living) you immediately flip out and start yelling "you SOCIALIST" and go off on some tangent or other that just furthers the cause of the people doing this to you.

Dude, how many times do you have to get hit in the head with a hammer before you start asking who is really hitting you? This crap didn't start with Obama, and it won't end when you get your side reelected. In fact, if you pay attention, it has only gotten WORSE under the people you vote for and has for years. Dude, just wake up. The people you see as your enemies are NOT your enemies. Regardless of how many times some talking right wing schill pumps you full of crap and tells you they are.
