David Breazeale Tops MSCCS Action at Hattiesburg

Laurel, Mississippi (04/18/13) – After a handful of rainouts Henderson Motorsports resumed their 2013 season over the weekend with a pair of Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Model events, and David Breazeale raced to his second win of the season.

The action opened on Friday night at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park (Hattiesburg, Mississippi) with a $2,000-to-win program, which saw twenty-two entries on hand. Breazeale started his night by powering his #54 Mastersbilt/Cornett Racing Engine to the fastest time in his group to lock into the pole sitter's dash, which he won. Via his win in the dash Breazeale started on the pole for the feature event with Chris Wall to his outside. David grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag and never looked back on his way to his second win of the 2013 season!

Leon Henderson started twentieth on the grid in his #10 Victory Circle by Moyer/Cornett Racing Engine entry and advanced four spots to a sixteenth place finish.

On Saturday night the action shifted to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) for a $2,500-to-win event at the 3/8 mile oval. After qualifying fourth fastest in his group Breazeale advanced from the seventh starting spot to a fourth place finish in the dash, which locked him into the fourth starting spot in the twenty-three car grid for the 50 lap feature. David battled in the top five throughout the event, and event took the lead on the sixth lap before slipping back to the third spot. He would go on to bounce back to a second place finish behind race winner, Chris Wall.

Henderson started twenty-third on the feature grid before passing nine cars to finish fourteenth in the final rundown.
