Brandon Kinzer Sixth in Spring Nationals Visit to 201 Speedway; TST Up Next

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team made their second straight trip to the nearby 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky on Thursday night, April 18 for a special visit by Ray Cook's Spring Nationals tour. A strong field of 38 competitors piled into the pit area to vie for the $4,000 winner's check. Brandon started his night by clicking off the fourth fastest lap in Group B during the qualifying session, which locked him into the outside of the fourth row for the start of the 40-lap main event.

Aboard his MB Customs / Gaerte mount, BK dropped back a few spots early before making a charge back through the talented field. At the completion of the race, which went from green to checkers following an opening lap caution, Brandon found himself in the sixth finishing position. The Allen, Kentucky ace trailed only winner Eddie Carrier, Jr., Rod Conley, R.J. Conley, Victor Lee, and Steve Casebolt. Complete results from 201 can be obtained by clicking on www.southernnationalsseries.com.

The Kinzer Motorsports team has opted to take the upcoming April 26-27 weekend off from Dirt Late Model competition. They will instead focus their attention on the doubleheader on May 3-4 at the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama. An unsanctioned program will pay $2,000 to the winner on Friday night at TST, while the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) battle on Saturday evening boasts a $4,000 payday. The events at the “Hornets Nest” will be held in conjunction with the NASCAR weekend across the road at the Talladega Superspeedway.
