    Default Mastersbilt drive shaft length

I have an '07 Mastersbilt Smack car with a Bert ballspline trans. Had an issue this weekend and destroyed my driveshft. I unfortunatly had never measured it and im not sure of the length. Can anyone help me out with this??? Thanks in advance.

Should be 38" but depends on your offset. At least that's what we've always used without any issues.

38" is correct driveshaft length in a smack car for STANDARD tail Bert. Ballspline is going to be shorter but I'm not sure by how much. Somebody on here surely knows.
A quick call to MasterSbilt would get you an answer also.

38.5 to 38 should be correct, what ever you do check it before you hit the track, let the lr hang and jack up the rr,also take the 5th coil off and move it up so that you make sure it doesnt bottom out!!!should be about 1/2" to 3/4"from bottoming out
ballspline is a 1/2"shorter than standard
also i would use a carbon fiber with it,thats if your not using one already(huge safety factor)

I agree with the Carbon Fiber. Saw it first hand . Especially with the ball spine Trans .
