Skylar Marlar Snags $2,500 American Cancer Society Night Victory at Lake Cumberland Speedway

Burnside, KY- May 11, 2013- Lake Cumberland Speedway returned to action on Saturday evening after three straight rainouts with a benefit night for the American Cancer Society and Skylar Marlar of Winfield, TN would pick up the $2,500 payday in the Super Late Model division main event. Other feature winners for the evening included Jimmy Payne of Glasgow, KY in Modifieds, Tim McMullin of Bronston, KY in Super Dirt Stocks/Road Hogs, and Charles Burton of Somerset, KY in Front Wheel Drives.

The Super Late Model feature event would see Skylar Marlar start in the fourth position, but when all was said and done, he would be standing in victory lane and would have earned $2,500 for his efforts in the PPM Racing Products sponsored #257 PPM Racing Chassis machine. Third place starting Justin Rattliff would take runner-up honors, while polesitter Victor Lee, outside polesitter Brad Neat, and Mike Weeks would complete the top five. The remainder of the top ten would be David Marlar, Jay Mobley, Kenny Cobble, Johnny Wheeler, and Jeff Watson. Lee and Neat would take heat race wins.

The Modified feature event would see outside polesitter Jimmy Payne grab his first victory of the season in the seat of a brand-new Bandit Race Car entry sporting the K1ng number in tribute to Russ Petro. Polesitter Tommy Bailey would finish in the second position, while Tommy Gregory would claim third. Cameron Marlar and Jim Robinson would complete the top five. Bailey and Payne would see checkered flags first in the heat events.

Tim McMullin would pick up his first win of the season in the Super Dirt Stock/Road Hog main event in his #M17 mount. Eddie Stewart would take runner-up honors, while Cecil Stewart would take third in the final rundown. Fourth and fifth positions would go Johnny King and Lee Branscum.

The Front Wheel Drive division would only contest a feature event and Charles Burton would claim victory in the seat of his #1B entry.
