    Default imca hobby stock help

Trying to help a buddy set up his imca hobby and having some troubles. He has a 1000 LF and a 1200 RF, 250 LR and 200 RR. Fronts are 11 inch springs, rears are 13 inch springs. Set the car on the scales and it has 60 pounds RR bite. Not sure where to turn? Any help appreciated, thanks.

What is your cross right now. adding cross will give you more LR bite RR bite is wrong and could be that your cross is way to low. and those springs seem high on the front

The cross is at 47.5. How do I put more cross weight in a car that you don't have weight jacks in?

I assume this is a metric car? Your spring rates and heights are fine for now. Is the driver in the car, what are your corner weight numbers? Where is the battery located and fuel cell.
The way you change cross with out weight jacks is with wheel offsets, air pressure, springs rates, spring heights, and by moving weight around in the car, ie: battery, fuel cell, heavy/light bumper.
Even with all that said, if those springs are rate checking close to the numbers you listed you SHOULD have around 100lbs of LR bite if nothing is bent. Eric

If you have flat ground springs in the car in back put a 11 inch spring in RR , should raise wedge to about 200 lbs LR . Point is you need to get weight on LR and RF , so shorten LF or RR spring or shim LR up this will get your wedge up. These are not the best fixes but may get you aimed in right direction.

Just a word to the wise, Spring spacers and rubbers are NOT allowed in the hobby stock class either. So you will need to get a taller or shorter spring to achieve your cross, also keep in mind there is a spring height rule this year as well Maximum of 14 inches free length.
