Brandon Kinzer Sixth in Walter Combs Memorial; Boyd’s Next on Friday

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) The Kinzer Motorsports team traveled to the Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia and the 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky on May 17-18 for a pair of Dirt Late Model special events. On Friday night at Boyd's, the Spring Nationals tour rolled into town to sanction a $4,000 to win program. Unfortunately, so did Mother Nature, as the show was rained-out following qualifying and rescheduled for May 24.

At 201 on Saturday evening, a $3,000 top prize was on the line in the running of the 'Walter Combs Memorial.' Brandon Kinzer ran second in heat race action to advance into the unsanctioned feature event. A brief rain delay during the parade laps added extra moisture to the racing surface and Brandon's hard tire selection was not optimal. Despite not being able to change his tires before the green flag dropped, Brandon soldiered on to finish sixth in the 'Walter Combs Memorial' behind only winner Dustin Linville, Jackie Boggs, Chris Combs, Michael P. Howard, and Paul Harris. Full results from 201 can be viewed online at www.201speedway.net.

BK and his #18 Dirt Late Model team will try their luck once again at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia this Friday, May 24. The Spring Nationals tour will try for the third time to get their $4,000 to win showdown into the record books. A full program featuring qualifications, consolation events, and 40-lap A-Main will take place at the Chattanooga area facility.
