Rick Eckert Gears Up for Busy Stretch Following WOOLMS Holiday Triple Shot

(YORK, PENNSYLVANIA) The Rick Eckert Racing team was back on the World of Outlaws Late Model Series trail from May 24-26 in a trio of high-profile races in the states of Ohio and West Virginia. On Friday night, the Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio played host to the 'Buckeye 50,' which boasted a $10,000 top prize. Rick Eckert timed in fourteenth quickest during qualifying and later placed third in his heat race to earn the outside fourth row starting spot for the 50-lapper. Rick was then able to move by four competitors en route to a solid fourth place showing behind only winner Dave Hess, Jr., Josh Richards, and Darrell Lanigan.

Action quickly shifted to the Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia on Saturday and Sunday for the 2nd Annual 'Jackpot 100.' On Saturday, Rick ran second in his heat race and later posted another fourth place performance in the $6,000 to win A-Main, finishing behind only winner Josh Richards, Tim Fuller, and Darrell Lanigan in the 30-lap affair. In Sunday's $15,000 to win 'Jackpot 100' finale at Tyler County, Rick finished seventh in his heat race and third in his B-Main prior to blasting past sixteen competitors in the 70-lapper on his way to a respectable sixth place effort. Complete results from the triple shot of racing action over the Memorial Day holiday weekend can be viewed online at www.woolms.com.
